Galop is the UK’s LGBT+ anti-violence charity, providing advice, support, and advocacy to LGBT+ people who have experienced domestic abuse, sexual violence, and hate crime. Galop is a by-the-community, for-the-community specialist service, providing help to LGBT+ people when they need it most.
Founded in 1982, Galop now provides advice and support to 8,000 LGBT+ victims and survivors of violence and abuse every year. As well as working directly with victims and survivors, Galop influences and advises at a strategic level nationally and locally to ensure issues affecting LGBT+ communities remain high on the agenda of Government, commissioners, decision-makers, and non-specialist service providers.
We are seeking a Head of Finance to join our Senior Management Team, providing financial support and insight as well as helping to steer the strategic direction of the organisation. Galop has grown significantly in the last 5 years, and this is an exciting time to join a dynamic team providing vital services to the LGBT+ community.
This role is responsible for Galop’s financial strategy, systems, reporting, day-to-day accounting, and financial management. In collaboration with the CEO, the post holder is responsible for setting and monitoring budgets, tracking income and expenditure, and reporting on the financial performance to the CEO and the Board of Trustees. The ideal candidate has a strong background in charity financial management, with meticulous attention to detail and keen analytical skills.
Galop actively welcomes applications from BAMER candidates and the Trans community.
