Birmingham LGBT is seeking to recruit a Sexual Health Promotion Worker for South Asian & Middle Eastern men who have sex with men (MSM). The aim of the role is to develop sexual health and well-being promotion work that meets the needs of South Asian and Middle Eastern MSM.

You will develop methods that will encourage South Asian and Middle Eastern MSM to engage in sexual health services and HIV/STI testing programmes through targeted work and outreach with these communities.

The successful applicant will join a motivated and enthusiastic team based at the LGBT Centre in Central Birmingham.

The post will be subject to a genuine occupational requirement and is open to men only, from South Asian and Middle Eastern communities (*Exempt under the Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9, Part 1 [sex] and section 39 and 40 [race]).

 

Terms:

NJC Salary Scale £22,183 (pro rata) and up to 5% matched pension contributions.

Part Time 18.5 hours per week, with some evening and weekend work. 25 days annual leave entitlement (pro-rata).

Fixed term contract to 31st March 2023.

Responsible to the Sexual Health Services Manager.
