Birmingham LGBT is seeking to recruit two sessional domestic abuse group workers for the Rainbow Project. The Rainbow Project is a new culturally competent group work programme for lesbian, bi and trans women who are survivors of domestic abuse.  We are planning to extend the programme to develop modules for GBT men (gay, bi trans) and the postholder will also deliver the programme to this cohort.

We recognise the importance and advantages of diverse workplaces and communities, and we acknowledge under-representation in our workforce of Black, Asian, and global majority people; people who are Romany or Irish Traveller, and people with lived experience of migration. We particularly welcome applicants from those backgrounds, identities and lived experiences.

The successful applicant will join a motivated and enthusiastic team of domestic abuse workers based at the Birmingham LGBT Centre in central Birmingham.

The post is subject to an enhanced vetting and barring check.

Terms and Salary:

  • £13.34 per hour plus up to 5% matched pension contributions.
  • Zero hours (sessional) contract to co-facilitate groups as and when they run.
  • 1 years fixed term contract ongoing subject to funding.
