Join us as we celebrate the launch of Bijou Stories’ podcast exploring the cultural phenomenon, Rebel Dykes which has just gone on national release following a successful and award-winning run at festivals around the world. The film and Rebel Dykes – Art and Archives exhibition capture previously untold stories which have resonated both with a new generation and those who finally see their experiences represented.

Bijou Stories, led by podcast producer, Rosie Oliver, has gone behind the scenes; talking to the filmmakers, curators and artists who have created the work and the audiences who have responded so powerfully to them, to create this insightful podcast which brings another new angle to the stories that so needed to be told.

We will be launching the podcast with a screening of Rebel Tales – a compilation of interviews and archival footage that expands on the world of the Rebel Dykes and their influence.

Bijou Stories is a project by Avant-Gardening that explores and collects stories from the LGBTQ+ community and creates new artworks that respond to and reflect the stories and history in creative and accessible ways.
