For this event, we are having an LGBTQ+ creative Storytelling Workshop with Queer Britain, hosted by Dan Vo an educator and self-titled queerator, working with museums to put a spotlight on queer history and Florence Scordoulis, a Cambridge History Graduate and journalist.
An opportunity to come together post-lockdown and celebrate the importance of storytelling in the LGBT+ community! Explore and share your narrative, by creating a piece of living history – through written and visual artistic expression – that will be immortalised in the Queer Britain Museum archives…
The session will include
An introduction to the pioneering work of Queer Britain, the UK’s first LGBT+ museum; and exploration of the value of storytelling in the LGBT+ community.
You will then have space to reflect on your own unique and powerful lived experiences, by writing an ‘Open Letter’ to Queer Britain – as well as creating a visual representation of your life, through mindful collaging… No artistic skills are required!
Plus, plenty of good conversation, refreshments, and a chance to meet new people.
