Ìfé – A Nollywood film about two women in love

Join us in a one time chance to watch the highly anticipated movie Ìfé, a queer story of Ìfé & Adaora falling in love over a 3-day date.

For LGBT+ History Month, Living Free UK is hosting a public film screening of the phenomenal short film that has had us all dreaming and waiting for its release over the summer of 2020.

Ìfé is a the story of two women, Ìfé and Adaora, who fall in love over a 3-day date, but their love comes under pressure by the complexities of being in a Same-sex relationship in Nigeria.

In it we get a rare glimpse into the faithful representation of queer love in the complex narrative of Nigeria, a country where queer relationships are criminalized and identity is stigmatized.

If you have not watched it yet, this is an event you don’t want to miss.

This event is endorsed by The Equality Hub and will be followed by a panel discussion.
