LBT women and non-binary people over 50 are invited for a cuppa and an information chat about the menopause.
For International Women’s Week ODL has teamed up with Tonic Housing to chat about the impact of going through the menopause and leading our respective LGBTQ+ charities. Join us for an informal chat over a cuppa.
The menopause is one of those things we are not supposed to talk about – so we are going to talk about it. Anna and Alice lead two LGBTQ+ charities and will talk about their experiences of going through the menopause whilst being in leadership roles and then will open up the conversation to provide an opportunity to share experiences and learnings. What have you found most challenging? What have you found most useful?
Opening Doors aims to ensure that LGBTQ+ people can age with dignity, security and fun in their lives. We do this by providing services and support to LGBTQ+ people over 50 and by working with housing, health and social care organisations.
Tonic Housing is focused on creating vibrant and inclusive urban LGBT+ affirming retirement communities where people can share common experiences, find mutual support and enjoy their later life.
