Entertaining the Troops: From 1979 to 1988 Consenting Adults in Public was one of the leading Lesbian and Gay Theatre Companies in England.
While Gay Sweatshop battled with the Arts Council for funding, this Community Theatre group performed plays, cabaret and musicals in theatres and for Student Unions and Gay Groups up and down the country, including two visits to the Edinburgh Fringe.
Peter Scott-Presland, the Vera Lynn of the gay movement and founder of the group as Eric Presland, tells the story of the highlights and lowlights of a rollercoaster existence.
