If you are a QTIPOC+ (Queer, Trans, Intersex People of Colour) or BAME (Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic), LGBTQI+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex+) group or organisation based anywhere in the UK, Wise Thoughts and Consortium invite you to join the conversation and link in the opportunities.
Following from the report findings of our joint Emerging with Pride project to address the needs of groups like yourselves dealing with COVID-19 pandemic, and as we are facing further challenges in 2021, we are organising a webinar on Saturday the 23rd January 2021 (from 4.00 to 6.00pm).
The webinar will share the report findings based on 15 video stories of BAME, LGBTQI+ / QTIPOC+ people presented online during November 2020 on Wise Thoughts annual cross-arts event: GFEST – Gaywise FESTival. These stories, along with a joint video and 15 live webinars will be up on GFEST web over next 2 months if you want to check.
The webinar on 23rd Jan will reconfirm the findings, encourage discussions on if and what has changed for you and your group since November 2020. We will also look at updates from you, your groups to avoid missing any substantial point/s as we continue to feedback these to the funders and wider community organisations sector.
A representative of Consortium will also outline some future opportunities, links to resources and share the plan on how best we can join hands and work together, while dealing with our own challenges but also learn from each other as a network of groups.
Please register your interest by filling in the form below. A full agenda and link to join the event will be emailed to you closer to the time.
