Bodies in Action will be hosting a contemporary dance performance featuring works by Luke Birch, Julian Nichols, and Cree Barnett Williams.

Bodies in Action ~ enGendering Contemporary Dance (est. 2021) is a newly formed company in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic in order to ensure the survival of the performing arts industry with a social mission to diversify gender identities represented in contemporary dance. We will be hosting a one night only performance featuring works by three national and international choreographers Luke Birch (He/Him), Julian Nichols (He/Him), and Cree Barnett Willams (She/Her). These national and international choreographers have been working over the past few months to develop works based on separate ideas that are fully realised and ready to present to an audience.

We are a project-based company that provides cutting edge and fresh contemporary dance to our audience while giving opportunities to a diverse group of dancers and individuals to share their artistry.

This performance LAUNCH will be the first time Bodies in Action will be presenting its repertoire to the public of London and we invite you to join us for this sacred moment that we will treasure forever.

This performance will be held at Studio Spaces in Wapping (closest tube: Shadwell) on Thursday, July 22nd, 2021. The performance will start at 8:00 p.m. with the bar opening at 6:00 p.m. for networking and socialising if you would like to join us.

At 6:00 p.m. there will also be some freelance artists selling their work. If you are interested in purchasing anything, please bring cash.
