About us

Established in 2007, Norfolk LGBT+ Project is the county’s only dedicated LGBT+ health and wellbeing service provider, providing early intervention and prevention support, services, and information to all age groups so we can help empower individuals to improve their mental and emotional wellbeing and to reduce social isolation of LGBT+ individuals living in Norfolk and Waveney.

Transgender Support Worker

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Transgender Support Worker to provide one-to-one support to all age groups throughout Norfolk and Waveney.

The successful candidate must have knowledge and experience of:

  • Knowledge of LGBTQ+ identity and the issues faced by transgender and non-binary individuals of all age groups.
  • Experience in working with vulnerable children, young people and adults.
  • Experience of working in an environment dealing with challenging and sensitive issues.

 

Salary: £22,500 (pro rata) the post is subject to a probationary period of 3 months.
Hours: 15 hours per week. (Potential to full time in 2nd year).
Locality: Norfolk and Waveney.
Contract: 12 months. (With potential for renewal, subject to funding).

A full driving license and access to own transportation is essential for this role.
